- Originally from Arizkun, he started as a bertsolari (singer of improvised verses) in Erratzu. After coming to the States in 1963, he composed his first verses in San Francisco in 1965.<br><br> He has performed in Gardnerville, Reno, San Francisco and many other places in the states, and also in the Basque Country, where he represented the US at the Basque Song Championship in Iruri, Zuberoa.
