Caracas, Venezuela.  The Jazoera newsletter, driven by the Basque-Venezuelan Pedro Javier Arriaga, looks to the summer months with excitement with kids on vacation, and the festivals that it offers: San Juan, San Fermin, San Antolin…In this issue the newsletter also provides a calendar of activities from the Basque clubs in Caracas, Carabobo and also Puerto La Cruz, that is reenergizing and will celebrate San Juan and San Fermin.  These are the activities planned:

CARACAS BASQUE CLUB

- June 23. Saturday.  Mother’s Day & Father’s Day

- June 23.  Saturday.  San Juan.

- July 1.  Sunday.  Monthly mass and pilota games.

-July 14.  Saturday.  San Fermin complete with “Encierro”

CARABOBO BASQUE CLUB (Valencia)

- June 23.  Saturday.  San Juan.

- July 7.  Saturday.  San Fermin complete with Encierro, Bull Run and food.

PUERTO LA CRUZ BASQUE CLUB

- June 23.  Saturday.  San Juan.

- July 7.  Saturday.  San Fermin

Additional items included in the last issue of Jazoera are the “christening” of the book Un viajero por los caminos de la vida (A Traveler through the Paths of Life) by Arturo Gonzalez de Zarate; June mass for the recently deceased María Paz Matxain and Imanol Urruzuno; and pilota games held on the same day June 3.
