Coronel Moldes, Argentina.  After a period of moderate activity the Basque club in Coronel Moldes, in the province of Cordoba, invites everyone to participate in a Film Series being organized in conjunction with the Cine Everton and FM 94.7, under the auspices of the local municipality’s ministries of education and culture.

The film series, coordinated by film expert, Carlos Gabilondo, will bring together six Basque featured titles: Ama Lur (Nestor Basterretxea and Fernando Larruquert) and Aupa Etxebeste (Telmo Esnal and Asier Altuna), to be shown on the 23rd; Vacas (Julio Medem) and Obaba (Montxo Armendáriz), scheduled for the 24th; and Sagarren Denbora (Josu Martínez) and  Kutsidazu Bidea, Ixabel (Fernando Bernués and Mireia Gabilondo), to close the event on the 25th.

Two sessions will take place at 4pm, directed especially at high school students, with another at night at 9pm for the general public.  The event begins on Wednesday April 23rd at the Cine Everton (Sarmiento Street 56) open to the public and free of charge.  At the end of the function at night, as explained to EuskalKultura.com by Marita Echave, attendees and organizers will share dinner.  Echave, Gure Zainak’s president, and author of Basque Rural Cooking did not rule out the idea of cooking something for the participants so that “they can taste the flavors of Euskal Herria.”

Dear John, please feel free to email in English with all the information to info@euskalkultura.com. Why did you write in that really broken Spanish? There are two Basque associations in Cordoba city and at least three more in the Province of Cordoba we are in touch with, but would need some clearer information to iniciate the research.
