They will soon receive a copy at their homes of this practical book for Spanish speakers interested in Basque by Jean-Baptiste Coyos and Jasone Salaberria. Zorionak!

Donostia-San Sebastian.  The girls from Tandil Maitena Mugica and Cecilia Lejarreta are the winners of the first drawing for the book, Euskera for Dummies by Jean-Baptiste Coyos and Jasone Salaberria.  The drawing was organized by EuskalKultura.com with the collaboration of the book’s publisher, Editorial para Dummies, of the Planeta Group.  Both subscribers to EuskalKultura.com’s bulletin will soon receive a copy of this interesting, informative and practical book about the Basque language that includes commonly used phrases and slang.

Euskera para Dummies is the translation of French Le Basque pour les Nuls' and was released in June as a practical guide for Spanish speakers who would like to know more about Basque and who would like to learn a few useful phrases in order to maneuver in the Basque Country.  “It is not a method to learn Basque, but instead a tool to get to know the language better in order to sue it in Euskal Herria,” as explained to EuskalKultura.com by one of its authors, Jasone Salaberria.  “It includes basic rules of Basque as well as phrases that are used daily: how to order in a restaurant, what to say in case of an emergency….”
