Kirmen Uribe will participate in several literary events this weekend in New York

Basque writer, Kirmen Uribe, will visit New York City this weekend in order to participate in various literary events. On Friday September 20 he will participate at an event at CUNY (City University of New York) where two speakers will discuss their literary work. On Sunday, Uribe will read some of his poetry in the heart of the Brooklyn Book Festival and will participate in the roundtable with other writers. On Monday he will give another recital at the Bowery Poetry Club.

New York, NY.  Kirmen Uribe, Basque writer will travel to the US this week to participate in a series of literary events in New York City, coordinated by the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Delegation of Euskadi in the US, CUNY, and the Brooklyn Book Festival.  The author will once again have the opportunity to introduce the US public to his work which has been translated and published in English on various occasions.

Uribe will be the focus at the literary event at CUNY on Friday September 20, where he will talk with Esther Allen, translator and professor at Baruch College, and Guz Jimenez Ph.D. candidate, in an open dialogue for university students as well as the general public.

On Sunday, September 22, Uribe will attend the Brooklyn Book Festival where he will do a reading and participate in a roundtable entitled, “Cities and their Ghosts,” with writers Patricio Pron and Chang-Rae Lee.

Uribe’s trip to NY will conclude on Monday, September 23, with his participation in a joint reading at the Poet in New York event held at the Bowery Poetry Club.
