Boise, Idaho, USA.  Boise State University once again offers a scholarship for a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), or Geoscience and Computer Science.  The scholarship is aimed at Basque students who have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or who are going to have completed such by August 2014.

This scholarship was made possible by collaboration between the BSU Basque Studies Program and the Basque Museum &Cultural Center in Boise.  The scholarship includes all tuition expenses as well as a stipend ranging between $18,000 and $25,000 for living expenses.  The Basque community has coordinated with the university to welcome students and include them in their social and cultural activities.

Application and Deadline

Applicants should submit the following by March 15^th:

• Application form

• Three letters of recommendation

• Unofficial transcripts

• A statement of research interests

Applications should be emailed to: EBarneySmith@boisestate.edu with “Basque PhD Scholarship” in the subject line.  Selections will be made by May 1^st and the person selected will also need to demonstrate an appropriate English language level (TOEFL).
