This year the Basque literature festival in Barcelona, Literaldia, will begin on the perfect day: Saint Jordi day. As every year, the Euskal Etxea in Barcelona has prepared an extensive program of activities in order to introduce new authors and literary proposals to both Basques in the city as well as the Catalans. On Saint Jordi, for example, it will bring Basque literature to the streets with authors Elena Moreno and Manu de Ordeñana signing books at the club’s booth.

Barcelona, Catalonia. The Basque literature festival in Barcelona, Literaldia is celebrating its 10th edition this year, an anniversary that organizers, the Barcelona Euskal Etxea Basque club, will celebrate with a varied program of events in 2014.  The goal is to introduce the latest in the Basque literary world to the city by using various points of view and disciplines: stories, poetry, dance, theater, music, bertsolaritza as well as in social networks.

The event will take place from April 23rd to May 28th, and as Euskal Etxea stresses that the majority of the activities are free of charge in order to make the literature available to all.
