(nota necrológica publicada en Marin Independent Journal, Legacy.com el 12-14 de mayo de 2018)

Apr. 11, 1933 - May 9, 2018

Maurine Streett, nee Lynch died at home in her sleep after a long battle with lung cancer.

Her struggle reflected her interior strength a strength which sprung from her Catholic faith and Irish grit.

She grew up in Larkspur and graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1951, the same year she married Paul Streett. She had known Paul since she was in the sixth grade. They were deeply in love and were married for 35 years until Paul's untimely death in 1986.

There was never a time she would not drop what she was doing to help someone.

She was small of stature; but big of heart.

We will all miss her loving embrace.

Maurine is survived by her son John (Mimi) Streett and daughter Cathleen Acheritogaray (Philippe). She had eight grandchildren; Anne Marie (Alex), Paul (Annie), Dan (Ashley), Regina, Marisa and Jean-Paul Mathieu, and Alaia. She also had four great-Grandchildren. Maurine is also survived by her loving brother Dick Lynch (Becky) and her lovingf nieces; Diana, Margie, Janet and nephew Jack. Maurine was a selfless and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Rosary will be held at 7PM on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at Monte's Chapel Of The Hills in San Anselmo followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Tuesday, May 15th at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Larkspur. Interment at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, San Rafael.
