Jose Alfonso Esnoz, 87, passed away in his home on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Reno, Nevada. 

He was born June 15, 1929 to Isidro and Bernarda (Marmaun) Esnoz in Olondriz, Spain. Jose enjoyed volunteering at St. Thomas Cathedral, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Aurelie; son Mark Esnoz, of West Linn, Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie Anne and Kenny Grimes of Reno; four grandchildren Joey, Jarod, Jade, and Rachel; one brother Ceferino; four sisters Antonia, Aurora, Consuelo, and Mirenchu; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass will take place Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral, with a Celebration of Life following at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant, 235 Lake St, Reno.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make donations in memory of Jose Esnoz to the St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral Food Pantry, 310 W 2nd St, Reno, NV 89503.
