Honorine Arbelbide, 95, of Los Banos, passed away peacefully at home on December 6th. She was born August 29th, 1922 in Bussunaritz, France; Honorine immigrated to California in 1948 with her late husband, Bernard Arbelbide, on the last sailing of the Queen Mary. She remained involved in the Basque community throughout her life, attending many Basque Picnics in Los Banos

She took pride in her home and family, and loved the springtime when the hills at the ranch turned green, and her flowers began to bloom. We will remember her as a strong, beautiful, and loving woman, missed, but living on in our memories, thoughts, and traditions.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Arbelbide, brother Jeanesh Jeduberry, son Martin Arbelbide, and grandson Jason Stefl.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Stefl, three granddaughters, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St Joseph's Church, 1621 Center Ave, Los Banos, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Internment at the Los Banos Cemetery District. Services Entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Los Banos.
