(publicado en el Fresno Bee, Legacy.com el 18 de marzo de 2018)

With her sons at her side, Fermina Harvey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the age of 104.

She was born in Fresno, CA to Lorenzo Aranaz and Cecelia Erro on July 3, 1913.

In addition to being a charter member of Belmont Country Club, and a member of the Fresno Basque Club, she was a housewife, avid golfer and bridge player, always surrounding herself with friends. Fermina was an excellent cook and loved to share her homemade pies and jams with those she loved. Thanks to her loving neighbor Carol Houk, she was able to reside in her own home until the age of 102.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to Cleo and the staff at Loving Care Residential Living in Clovis, who cared for Fermina since June, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Galen Harvey, Sr.; her grandson, George Harvey; and her brothers, George and Joe Aranaz. Fermina is survived by her sons, Galen Jr. and wife Judy, and Glenn and wife Melinda. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Galen Harvey III and wife Lisa, Tina Harvey and husband Hector, Samantha Bender and husband Braden, and Paige Harvey; great-granddaughter McKenna Bender.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice, 2490 W. Shaw, Suite 101, Fresno, CA 93711; or to the donor's favorite charity. Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 1525 East Saginaw Way, Fresno, California (559)227-4048.
