Lisa’s grandparents were from Bizkaia. Raised in Ontario, Oregon, she has lived in Reno since marrying Enrike Corcostegui from Donostia in 1988. Her main hobby is Basque dancing. She is the founder and director of the group “Zenbat Gara” of University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

Lisa continues to conduct exhaustive research on Basque dances. Not only a skillful dancer, a follower of Juan Antonio Urbeltz, Lisa’s skills also include extensive knowledge regarding costuming as well. She serves as the dance and costume consultant for various dance groups including; "Zenbat Gara", Battle Mountain and Winnemucca (Nevada), Ontario (Oregon) and "Boise’ko Gazteak" (Idaho). She is also the consultant and costume maker of the "Parc de l’Aventure Basque" of Trois-Pistoles (Quebec).

Today Lisa is writing her Doctoral Thesis at UNR on Basque dance and identity in the Basque Country and Diaspora.
