Buffalo 2011 - Michelena

Another Basque family from Buffalo, the Michelenas, celebrated a family meeting in Buffalo during the festival, gathering all the members of this extended saga where it all started. The patriach of the American branch, came to Buffalo 100 years ago, from Oiartzun, Gipuzkoa, after passing through Sunbilla, Nafarroa. The michelenas organized an special reception and participated in the parade with their family 'karrokanpo' (photo EuskalKultura.com)
