Memoria Bizia Project

Pedro Oiarzabal, researcher at Deusto University and current Jon Bilbao Chair at the University of Nevada, Reno, presented this program that gathers testimonies of Basque immigrants that is supported by universities in Reno, Deusto, the Etxepare Institute and the Basque Government. The program is currently being carried out in the US and Canda and Oiarzabal shared its progress, numbers of interviews done and the importance of doing this research, and the urgency of doing so since many of our immigrants are of an advanced age and will take valuable information with them when they pass.
