Basques in the New World, by Jon Bilbao and William Douglass, is forty years old.  It is a complete study of the history of the Basques outside the Basque Country, and has had great influence in the areas of Diaspora studies.  This is why a group of universities, including the Center for Basque Studies in Reno, has launched “1975 – the Year of Amerikanuak – 2015.
