Villa Maria, Argentina. The Barnetegi or Intensive Winter Training course in South America for Basque teachers as part of the Euskara Munduan Program, that as of January 1st is now under the Etxepare Basque Institute, returns to Villa Maria organized by FEVA and the local Euzko Etxea Basque club. The Barnetegi will begin on July 14th and will run for a week with the participation of some 20 ikasle-irakasles (student-teaches) from different countries in the region.
This will be followed by a weekend of teacher training on July 21 and 22. This training is provided by the Basque Government (Etxepare Basque Institute) and FEVA once a year.
All classes will be held at the Euzko Etxea facilities in Villa Maria, meals at the Txoko Resto at the Basque club and lodging is at the local Hotel Republica.
