They opened the Basque restaurant “Donostia” three years ago in the English capital and today they open their second Basque establishment.  Nemanja Borjanović and Melody Adam aren’t Basque but they are in love with Basque cooking and modes.  After “Donostia” that is more of a restaurant, Lurra is more like a grill for both meat and fish, a kind of sagardotegia or Basque ciderhouse.  And by the way, any unemployed Basque chefs or waiters should apply as some positions still need to be filled.

London, England.  Lurra will open this afternoon and will begin its journey without much ado, starting at 6pm with its first dinner service.  There won’t be any special inauguration activities since it has been completely reserved for some time as reported to EuskalKultura.com by the management.

Owners of Lurra will continue the path they began three years ago with the Basque Restaurant Donostia.  Nemanja Borjanović and Melody Adam are passionate for Basque cuisine and trends, in pintxos as well as dishes, wines and rations, as well as grilled meat and fish, which Lurra specializes in.

For Basque grilling or restaurant professionals who are looking for an international experience in a place like Lurra, EuskalKultura.com has found out that there are still some positions open for chefs and waiters.  Interested parties can contact them through their website.
