Almost ten thousand kilometers away from the festivities and even in the middle of winter, Basque and Navarran clubs in Argentina are also celebrating San Fermin; without bulls but with dancing, red neckerchiefs and much enthusiasm.  Some of the activities took place on July 7 and others on the 9th along with the celebration of Argentina’s Independence Day – others are still to come.  The first photo gallery of San Fermin in the Argentine Diaspora for this year.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.   The typical image of San Fermin, colored and festive with a rocket, giants and cabezudos has returned to a large number of Basque and Navarran clubs this year, as always, providing their communities with replicas of the huge festival.  EuskalKultura.com echoes the festivities and shares images sent by various parts of the country.

In our first entry, photos and stories of some of the events in the Argentinean cities of Arrecifes, Azul, Bolívar, Buenos Aires, Macachín, Mendoza, Olavarría, Río Cuarto and Viedma.
