The call for Gaztemundu 2012 applications has been published; application deadline is June 30

The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country, published on May 30, included the official call for the 2012 edition of the Gaztemundu program, for youth in the Basque Diaspora. Twenty youth will be selected from Basque clubs around the world and Basque communities abroad to participate in the program in the Basque Country from September 3-14. This year’s program will focus on the Basque language and its instruction in the Basque clubs.

Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country published on May 30, 2012 includes the official call for applications for Gaztemundu 2012. This year’s program will take place on September 3-14, 2012 with a budget of 51,501 Euros.

Application Requirements:

1. Be 18 years of age by January 1, 2012

2. Reside outside of the Basque Autonomous Community of Euskadi

3. Be a Member, for at least 3 years, of any Basque club-Euskal Etxea that is official recognized and registered with the Basque Government.

4. Complete a project on planning a Basque class (lesson plan).

5. Have not previously participated in a Gaztemundu program.

Application deadline is June 30.
