The Basque Government, at a meeting of its Counsel held on Tuesday morning, has given the green light to the 2017 Gaztemundu Program.  This edition will be focused on traditional Basque instruments and will be held September 2-17, 2017.  Applications can be sent once the call is published, in the coming days, in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country. We´ll keep you posted.

Vitoria-Gasteiz.   The Counsel of the Basque Government approved  this morning the 2017 edition of the Gaztemnudu Program.  The event is open to 15 individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who are members of Basque clubs.  This training program will take place this year September 2-17, 2017 and will focus on traditional Basque instruments in hopes of deepening the knowledge about them.

Participants will enjoy the opportunity to learn about various traditional instruments from expert professors, while seeing them in action in their context.  They will also meet musicians who know the rich musical culture in the Basque Country first hand, as well as experience and visit over the two weeks the land of the roots and culture that they cultivate in their own way at their respective euskal etxeas.

After today’s step, anyone interested in participating in the program should look out for the publication of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country, that is anticipated for this Friday.  We will continue the information and details as soon as it is available.
