Some 100 people attended last Saturday’s 22nd Basque-Venezuelan Gathering in Galdakao. The event gathered families and individuals who were either both, were raised, or lived in the heart of the Basque clubs and historic Basque communities in Venezuela, and live now in the Basque Country. The day is organized by the Simon Bolivar Association, led by Amaya Zenarutzabeitia.  The reunion gave a recognition to Joxean Elgezabal Garcia, 89 years old. (See photo gallery)

Some 100 people attended last Saturday’s 22nd Basque-Venezuelan Gathering in Galdakao that gathered families and individuals who have returned to Euskadi who were either both, were raised, or lived in the heart of the Basque clubs and historic Basque communities in Venezuela. The day is organized by the Simon Bolivar Association, led by Amaya Zenarutzabeitia.  Those gathered joined in the presentation of a gift and recognition to Joxean Elgezabal Garcia, 89 years old.
