Summer courses at the University of the Basque Country are providing the opportunity to learn more about the Diaspora with “The (New) Roll of the Basque Diaspora in Euskadi in the 21st Century.”  This course is taught by several members of this Diaspora and various experts will analyze the place and contribution of Basque culture today.  You can still enroll until the end of the month at reduced prices.  

Donostia-San Sebastian.  On July 18 and 19 the course “The (New) Roll of the Basque Diaspora in Euskadi in the 21st Century” as part of the Summer Courses at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). The course will be taught by experts from the Diaspora at the Miramar Palace in Donostia, where they will discuss the current situation of the Diaspora and its role in today’s Basque society. 

The course is directed by Imanol Galdos (Department of Culture at Donostia’s City Hall), who explains that the goal is to create a starting point for discussion about the role that it plays, wants, or that the Basque community abroad can play in today’s Euskal Herria.

The deadline to enroll is May 31, at these special prices.  In addition, there are also reduced prices for students and retirees.  Complete information is here.
