Quebec’s Euskaldunak club members informed of NABO meeting held in Salt Lake City

Members of Quebec’s Euskaldunak club held a meeting on May 15th, where Sylvie Nanaud, reported on the North American Basque Organization’s (NABO) meeting in Salt Lake City. Sylvie emphasized the importance of participating in this organization’s activities and encouraged fellowship between all Basques in North America. Quebec’s club is hosting NABO’s fall meeting In Montreal this September, coinciding with its 15th anniversary.

Montreal, Quebec.  Quebec’s Euskaldunak Basque club held a meeting last Sunday that included the added incentive of a tasting of a large selection of Basque products provided by Pierre and Catherine Oteiza.  Oteiza is the owner of a company that sells Basque products online; thanks to their generosity Basques in Quebec enjoyed select hams, pates and other foods. The atmosphere was very nice and many of the participants finished the day singing.

The members also took advantage of the get together to talk about other topics of interest.  Sylvie Nanaud shared her experiences at the NABO meeting that took place in Salt Lake City, UT, emphasizing the importance of belonging to the organization, and the group of North American Basques, from East to West.

Note that Euskaldunak will host NABO’s fall meeting on September 15-17th in Montreal which coincides with the club’s 15th anniversary.
