Marcos Paz, Argentina. The Zuhaitzaren Herria Basque Club in Marcos Paz in the Province of Buenos Aires received a subsidy from the city government to complete the steps for obtaining legal status.  As Martin Garitonandia explained, “this is a subsidy that the local government gives intermediate institutions so that they can afford the expenses of the process.  We already presented everything in La Plata, so it should be completed soon. In addition to the grant received from the city government they also brought us up to date on the process,” Garitonandia said.

With the legal situation completed, “Zuhaitzaren Herria, can now begin the long process of building its headquarters.  “This is in regards to land offered to us by the city where we will build a hall for some 60 people,” Garitonandia said.

In regards to the cultural activities that will happen from now to the end of the year, besides those already mentioned, the club is focusing on Basque Week that will take place in September.  As very year, they will be part of the Immigrants Festival in December.
