Boise, ID. The open selection process to determine what artists and musical groups will participate in Jaialdi 2020 in Boise, Idaho has resulted in three groups being invited from the Basque Country to participate in the event. These groups are Duguna, Iruñeko dantzariak, Korrontzi dance group as well as Esne Beltza. Organizers of Jaialdi would like to thank everyone who applied to attend.
These are the groups from Euskal Herria who will participate in Jaialdi 2020 July 28-August 2, 2020:
- Duguna, Iruñeko dantzariak, dance group that began in Pamplona in 1949
- Korrontzi, musicians from Mungia (Bizkaia), led by trikitilari Agus Barandiaran, folk
- Esne Beltza, group led by Xabi Solano, triki, hip-hop, reggae, rock, folk, dubstep, electric...
Along with these groups invited from Euskal Herria, there will also be several dozen groups from Basque communities in the US who will also participate in Jaialdi.
