The Secretary General of Foreign Action and the Director for Basque Citizens and Collectivities Abroad have published the list of entities and people who have been awarded grants provided to those in situations of extreme need in the Diaspora. Sixty two people and families are the beneficiaries of this program this year in Basque clubs in Argentina (18 euskal etxeas), Colombia (2), Chile (2), Uruguay (2) and Venezuela (2).

Vitoria-Gasteiz.  The Secretary General of Foreign Action, Guillermo Echenique has raised the motion for a resolution for the awards for those in dire need in Basque clubs abroad for the year 2012.  Let us remind you that these grants are processed through the Basque club to which the person in question belongs, or the one that is closest geographically to the person who is in a situation of needing assistance or in a situation of extreme need.

The resolution will only become legally binding when it is published shortly in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country, however, for those who wish to consult the provisional list of beneficiaries, you can do so by going to www.euskadi.net/euskaldunak, under "Programs and Grants", and read it here
