At the beginning of this course year, it is worth remembering that on December 5th Mendiko Euzko Etxea welcomed one hundred children to its clubhouse from the Kailen School, from the Children’s Village in Bariloche. In the words of club spokesperson, Federico Ezquerra, “natural host, our club welcomed the children with breakfast, an inflatable castle in the hall, and later lunch.  The children had a wonderful time and enjoyed a beautiful day, as did the members who accompanied them in their activities.  Contributing what we can, with the resources we generate, it is extremely fruitful to carry out this kind of activities for our club, since it allows us to constantly grow and make our culture known to the greatest number of people in Bariloche.  That is why, additionally, we have committed ourselves to carry it out again soon,” Ezquerra said.

2018 Activities

The Basque dance classes will begin at Mendiko Euzko Etxea with the following schedules: txikis on Thursdays from 7-8pm; Women, Thursdays from 8-9pm; and adults on Fridays from 6:30-8:30pm.  Classes will be taught at the SUM at School No. 71.  In addition, the club will celebrate the most significant celebrations on the Basque calendar, as well as its own meetings.  But without a doubt, the most anticipated event will be in November when the club represents the Basque Country annually at the Festival of European-Argentine Communities.
