Donostia-San Sebastian.  Do you want to deepen your Basque roots and achieve a post graduate degree from the University of the Basque Country, the National University of Distance Education and the Public University of Navarre, from your home for free?  For another year, 20 lucky people will enjoy this unique opportunity thanks to Eusko Ikaskuntza and its Asmoz Fundation.  Both entities offer twenty full scholarships aimed for people living in the Diaspora who enroll in this course.

The postgraduate in “Basque Studies: Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences” online will allow students to study the Basque culture in depth with specialists in the field.  Since it is an online course it can be done from anywhere in the world, the only requirement is to have a computer and an internet connection.  The course begins on November 15 and ends on July 31, 2012.

Those wishing to apply for one of these scholarships should first visit this web site and someone from Asmoz registration will be in touch.  The next step is to provide all additional information and documentation (degree, CV, etc).  Sources from Asmoz have assured EuskalKultura.com that this step is absolutely necessary since the University of the Basque Country has to approve applications before Asmoz can award the scholarships.

Cost of the course is 1,350 Euros that will be completely covered by the scholarship
