The 39th International Mus Tournament of Basque Collectivities concluded last Saturday in Donostia with the participation of delegations from 12 countries.  The Txapela went to a team from Euskadi, Juan Carlos Korta and Eusebio Zabala, with second place going to the team from Venezuela, Jose Luis Ramos and Mariano Larrañaga.  Zorionak!

Donostia-San Sebastian.   The 39th International Mus Tournament of Basque Collectivities concluded with the winning team coming from Euskadi; muslaris from Zumarraga Juan Carlos Korta and Eusebio Zabala, who had 10 wins in 13 games.  Second place went to the pair from Venezuela, José Luis Ramos and Mariano Larrañaga, while third place went to the second team from Euskadi, Lucas Herrador (Errenteria) and Fernando Mas (Irun).

In all, 14 teams participated in the tournament, representing 12 countries.  The tournament began last Saturday, October 8 with a reception for the delegations and their companions.  During the week of the championship, the participants were able to visit various localities including: Donostia, Zarautz, Tolosa, Bilbo and Oion.  In fact, besides visiting these areas, the participants also played matches there, in places like the Market in Zarautz, the Tinglado in Tolosa or at the Gran Bilbao Casino. 

Next year's World Tournament will be in California, US.
