Etxepare and EKE publish a book online on Basque dance in Basque, French and English (in pdf)

Etxepare and EKE have now made a book on Basque dance available on-line (photo Asier Uriagereka)

The collaboration between the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Cultural Institute of Iparralde (EKE) has resulted in the translation into French of a book on Basque dance by expert Oiar Araolaza. The work was published by Etxepare last year in Basque, Spanish and English, and now thanks to the help of EKE it has been published in Basque, French and English. The book can be downloaded for free in pdf from both the EKE and Etxepare websites.

Donostia-San Sebastian. You can now download and read Euskal dantza / Danse Basque / Basque dance, a tour of the world of Basque dance by Oier Araolaza. The book was published last year as part of the Etxepare Basque Institute’s “Basque Culture Collection.” Now thanks to the collaboration of the Basque Cultural Institute of Iparralde, the work has now also been translated into French by Kattalin Totorika and has been published online in a Basque-French-English version.

This new special edition can be downloaded free of charge in pdf format from either the Etxepare Basque Institute or from the Euskal Kultur Erakundea websites

The two institutions will continue to work together with another translation into French of other titles in the Basque Culture Collection. Right now, for example, they are translating Euskal kantagintza: pop, rock, folk by journalist, Jon Eskisabel.
