The Delegation of Euskadi to the United States is currently promoting the development of a business network for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and professionals of Basque descent or for those with ties to the Basque Country in the US called Emprebask – USA. Prior to the formal launching of the organization, several meetings have been organized in different parts of the country. The next two meetings will take place in San Francisco, California on April 16th and the second on April 18th in Salt Lake City, Utah. The latter coincides with the North American Basque Organizations spring meeting.

San Francisco, California. The Basque Delegation in the US, located in New York, is behind the creation of Emprebask-USA and delegation representatives will be present at both meetings scheduled in the western United States.  The first will take place on Thursday the 16th at the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center at 7 p.m.  This is an open meeting but organizers would appreciate confirming attendance either by contacting Xabier Berrueta in San Francisco at: xabierberrueta1@yahoo.com; or Santiago Uribe in New York at:  santiago-uribe@ej-gv.es.

The second meeting will take place on April 18th in Salt Lake City, Utah coinciding with the NABO spring meeting which gathers representatives of Basque clubs and organizations from all over the country. The Emprebask presentation is included as an item on the meeting agenda, which will begin at 7:30 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (1975 South 23rd East) of the State Capital of Utah.

As previously reported by EuskalKultura.com, another meeting was held on March 11th at Miami Florida’s Euskal Etxea .  This meeting gathered interested parties from the Southeastern region of the US.  The hope is to launch Emprebask-USA this summer.  Other Emprebask organizations have already been founded in Chile and Mexico, and steps have been taken to create programs in Venezuela and Columbia.
