Black is beltza is a graphic novel by Fermin Muguruza, Harkaitz Cano and Dr. Alderete that will be published in Argentina by Moebius.  The publishers have launched a pre-sale of the book that will benefit buyers with “spectacular gifts.”  The deadline to participate is May 18th.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.   After being published in other languages and countries in Basque, Spanish (Spain, Mexico, and Colombia), Catalan, French and Japanese, the graphic novel Black is beltza has come to Argentina, published by Moebius.  Black is beltza is a graphic novel, based on real facts, and created jointly by Fermín Muguruza, one of the main exponents of Basque rock; Harkaitz Cano, Basque literature reference and winner, among others, of the Euskadi Prize in Literature; and Dr. Alderete (Jorge Alderete), renowned Argentine designer and illustrator whose career has developed mainly in Mexico (see book trailer here).

In hopes of bringing to an audience in Argentina, the published have launched a crowdfunding campaign through the Panal de Ideas platform that will benefit participants with excellent privates such as a special price when buying the book and the possibility of participating in the book launch in Buenos Aires. To collaborate with the publication all you have to do is visit this link and click on “join.”  The deadline to do so is May 18th.

According to the publishers, “the money raised will be destined for the printing of the book in its Argentinean version.  We want to do a 2,000 book run that will revalue this unique work and that will ideally, be signed by its authors to make it even more special.  For Moebius, this work by three big names is very important, based on the real facts and carried out in the book with a quality format that is rarely seen.”

The book presentation will take place on May 20 in Buenos Aires (place to be determined) and will be attended by Muguruza and Dr. Alderete, who will autograph copies of the book.
