In the words of Basque club's Ismael M. de Alegria “in the year of the city’s 150th anniversary everyone worked with the city of Villa Maria which resulted in a very successful event.  The festival included dancing and music, as well as costumes, but most of all the art of cooking from each community.  Each made its favorite dish and everything sold out in a few hours.”

The Basque club also stood out, not only with its stand with txistorra and tortilla, but also on stage with the Tamborrada, dantzaris of all ages and the standard bearers.
