The Eusko Kultur Etxea-Eusketxe just announced this year’s Basque classes.  This Basque cultural center led by Maria Elena Etcheverry proposes a variety of levels and times for its courses; the majority will take place one a week for three hours at Mexico 1880 in the capital city.  In a conversation with EuskalKutlura.com, Etcheverry invites everyone to visit their blog.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.   Basque classes at the Eusketxe will begin this week with the following schedule:

-Beginners, Thursday from 17:30 a 20:30hs;
-Beginners, Friday from 14-17hs;

-Continuing beginners (having completed 125 hours in 2017), Thursday from 9-12hs;

-Second year (205 hours complete in 2016/2017), Friday from 10-3hs

-Advanced (105 hours done in 2016/2017). Includes mintza praktika (conversation) in the Zibergela (virtually). Wednesdays from 18:30- 21hs; Saturdays from 12:30-13:30hs.

All classes will be held at the Eusketxe-Lizarraenea, México 1880, Monserrat, Buenos Aires City.

On the blog, you can read about Eusketxe news, along with the club’s program of activities. The latest issues include summaries of the president’s activities that took place in February and March in the Basque Country.  Other items include her visits to the Intxitxu Euskaltegi and the Haurtzaro Ikastola in Oiartzun, where she met with students and teachers.  She was also interviewed by the local radio while in Gipuzkoa.

Also in March, the head of Ekin Publishers met with the Director of the Basque Community Abroad, Gorka Alvarez Aranburu to talk about the Historic Archive of the Autonomous Basque Community.  During their meeting, Etcheverry committed to collaborate as requested providing titles published by Ekin in Buenos Aires.
