The program for Basque language teacher training in Argentina “Argentinan Euskaraz” celebrates its first quarter-century of life next year and FEVA invites Basque clubs and institutions that teach the language to participate in associated activities.  The range of proposals will be broad and will include a contest to choose the anniversary’s logo, a book on the history of the language in the country and a traveling exhibit organized by the Delegation of Euskadi in Argentina and the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.  As a tribute to those who made and are making it all possible, the teachers and students all over the country, will celebrate the 25th birthday of Argentinan Euskaraz, a program managed by HABE and FEVA that has not only allowed for the preservation of the language but also its dissemination throughout the entire country.

With this goal in mind, everyone involved with Euskera whether in the Basque clubs, universities or anywhere where Basque is taught and enjoyed, is invited to create a calendar for 2015 with activities at the local and national levels, working with other institutions on initiatives at each Basque club.  In relation to these events, FEVA calls Basque clubs to submit ideas on activities that might be carried out which can serves as models or incentives for other institutions, as well as proposals and suggestions to incorporate these at the national level.

FEVA has also reported that there are people already working on the initiative and that they have called for a logo contest under the title “Argentinan Euskarazen 25. Urteurrena,” as well as a photo contest for a 2015 calendar; a text contest “25 urte” (25 years); a book on the history of “Argentinan Euskaraz” to be written by Magdalena Mignaburu, a traveling exhibit on Basque thanks to the Basque Delegation and the Etxepare Institute and a visit for people in the Basque Country linked to the project.
