Aberri Eguna 2019 festivities continue in South America from Patagonia to San Paulo

Euskotarren aberria Euskadi da (Euskadi is the homeland of the Basques). Aberri Eguna 2019 in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina Aberri Eguna or the Day of the Basque Homeland is one of the dates marked in red on the calendar of several Basque clubs; although in the Diaspora it is usually celebrated after Easter Sunday, its official date in Euskadi.  This year, activities are scheduled through the month of April in some cases, even in May, always in hopes of expressing Basque membership.

The Basque film Dantza has begun touring several cities in Argentina and the United States

Seeking Basque language and culture professors for universities in Germany, Ireland, Poland and Japan

The Freie University in Berlin is among those looking for a Basque language and culture lecturer who will also carry out important work in the dynamization and promotion of the Basque culture and language. The Etxepare Basque Institute has opened a call for five lecturers who will teach Basque language and culture in universities in Germany, Ireland, Poland, and Japan.  These include Freie in Berlin and Goethe in Frankfurt , Germany; at the University of Cork in Ireland, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznán Poland, and finally the TUFS University in Tokyo, Japan.
