GOLDMAN, Rosario A. "Charo," 80, of Midlothian, passed away January 18, 2017. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J. Philip Goldman; parents, Pedro and Prudencia Aguirrezabalaga; mother-in-law, Gertie O. Goldman; sister, Mercedes; brother, Jose Marie; and son-in-law, William Ray Dyer. 

She is survived by her five children, Ana (Alan), Paola (Matt), Margaret (Daniel), Peter (Madeline), Michael (Kristin); and 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Bo, Sadie, Max, Johnny, Caroline, Owen, Katherine, Patrick, Luci and Izabelle. 

Charo was born and raised in Madrid, Spain of Basque descent. She met Dad while he was stationed at Torrejon Air Force Base. 

They moved to the United States in 1961, living various places in the south, finally settling in Richmond, Va., in 1972. 

She was an active member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, and volunteered at her children's schools and at Commonwealth Catholic Charities.

Her passions were spending time at the beach with her family, enjoying her grandchildren's sports and activities, walking and exercising at ACAC, her Bunco and dinner group, and shopping (retail therapy) with her girls. She had a smile for everyone, a great laugh, and she was our strength. She believed...
