Golconda, Nevada 1920 - Reno, Nevada 2018

Marguerite (Marge) was born in Golconda, Nevada on May 12, 1920, (a birthdate she shared with her father and only brother), to Basque parents, Pedro Laca and Dominica Gastelecutto Laca.

She attended school in Golconda from 1st grade to the end of her junior year of high school. When she was a senior in high school she transferred to Winnemucca, Nevada, where she graduated from Humboldt County High School in 1937.

While she was in high school, she met her future husband, Lorin Berry Fagg. They were married in October of 1938. They were the proud parents of two children, Ron and JoAnn. Marge and Lorin (Lornie) were married 58 1/2 years before he passed away in 1997.

Marge passed away June 10, 2018, in Reno, Nevada at Brookdale Northwest Assisted Living. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, JoAnn Miller; and her five siblings, Marie Wardell, Evie Rutherford, Peter Laca, Annie Lathos and Emilie Dillon.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Phylliss); son-in-law, Paul Miller (Rita); four grandsons, George, Doug and Stacy Miller all of Winnemucca, and Arlen Fagg of Reno; and granddaughter, Lori Phillips of Reno. In addition, she has many surviving nieces and nephews.

Marge's family would like to thank her son-in-law, Paul, for allowing her to stay in his home following JoAnn's passing. A huge debt of gratitude to Angie, who looked after her while she was in Winnemucca. Her family would like to also thank the care givers and staff of Brookdale Northwest and the many workers from Kindred Hospice. Each and every one was very special.

Marge's ashes will be buried with Lornie's in Paradise Valley, Nevada, beside their daughter, JoAnn, at a later date. As per their wishes, a private family get-together will be held.
